Parenting ranks #1!!

It goes without saying that we are living in a different era than our parents did when they were rearing the adults of today! Moms do not have the luxury of staying at home much today and lifestyles become very complicated, not only for blended families, but for all families!

God entrusts our children to us so that we can help them be a joy to others who will then find favor as they relate to other people. After all, God’s greatest command to us is that we love the Lord with all of our hearts, but also that we love each other as we love ourselves. (Mark 29-31) Which child is above that command? The answer is none of them!

But where is the rule book for parents??? Biblical parenting means “instruction”, not only for our kids, but for parents! Most parents need help and instruction on this topic! For instance, where does it say in the Bible to wait for the cook to sit down to eat before digging in? Where does it say to push in your chair so Mom doesn’t have to? (Titus 3:2 says: Be courteous to all men!)

Teaching God’s PRINCIPLES to kids gives them a “moral bank” from which to operate. But unless parents have that moral bank themselves, it is hard for them to teach their children!
